Forgiving Friends

Tonight I was over at my friend Jack’s house, and during an exciting game of apples to apples I leaned back against his dining room chair to fast and snapped the wood.  I felt really bad, because I seem to have an on going problem with braking or losing Jack’s things.  Just the other day, Jack was throwing a tennis ball against the backboard, and when I caught it, and tried to throw against the backboard it just sailed right by, flying over his garage and into someone else’s yard.  Another time I came into their house and somehow from the vibrations of me entering the room I caused a bottle of wine to fall off of it’s decorative holder and onto the ground, breaking and spilling everywhere.

There have been countless other accidents and through them I have realized, I am a bad friend.  Honestly I don’t know why they let me remain their friend, maybe its because he can always count on me to lose in Backgammon or Monopoly.  I am a huge cluts, and I just constantly break things, especially nice things that belong to other people.  Anyway, Jack I am really sorry, but I think you should use this blog to share any other stories you have of me breaking or damaging your stuff by my own klutzy actions.

I may have to start my own blog, and this may be ongoing … and i told you I’m not bummed at your or anything, just that we can’t get a new chair for the table… it was flown custom from europe by an artist that passed away last year , (sigh),

    - you broke my fin on my surfboard, and blammed the sandbar for being too high, that wasn’t your fault either

    - the seat lever on my truck, but again you said it was a poorly made handle and should never have snapped off like that

    - the dirt from your boots after I cleaned the carpets, but again you said we shouldn’t have such light carpet in our house, so it was our fault

    - the cabinet handle on my old VW bus, but again you said the wood was old and someone else started to break it, and it wasn’t your fault

    - Ruined my moms carpet lines in the living room so you could flex in the mirror, and said my mom was rediculous for not letting people in that part of the house

    - sat on my remote control for my car stereo in my old s-10, a few buttons were busted, and you said thats a ridiculous spot to keep a remote, and i shouldn’t have it sitting where people are about to sit

    - (this is for JR) brand new F-150 pickup, not a week old, kozmo does a breakdance on top of the bed, and scratches his paint job with his belt .. Poor guy only saved up his money for 17 years to have something nice .. at least it lasted 6 days!

Chalk up another broken item ..

The Crabtree Family Doorbell, it only takes a slight touch for the doorbell to ring, and now the button got pushed through the wall, and is sitting in the living room (not really, but mine as well be! The button is permanantly pushed in

I think you could also blame your TV on me, I mean the color was working fine before I touched it, and afterward it got all touchy.

I don’t want to avoid blame for any of these things, because clearly I am a Klutzy jerk, but it is pretty unbelievable that I single handedly caused so much destruction. Maybe I am cursed or something, cause this is just not normal.
